The Heat is on

Here is a quick note on the photos. The first one was taken of the girls seeing Daddy and Grandpa off to work one morning. Notice Isabel is wearing her princess attire, and Evelyn has her beads on. Next, Isabel is enjoying CRAZY COLOR ice cream. Her mouth was blue all over. She did a great job keeping it off of her shirt! Katie opted for cotton candy ice cream. Good choice on her part! I think Evelyn had a little of everyones. 3rd picture is sweet Josephine playing happily in the laundry basket. 4th picture is cousin Averi (with the bow), Katie and Josephine. Averi and Josephine made noise back and forth at each other, having fun talking to someone their own age. Averi is 4 days older than Josephine. The last picture is at the house we are building. Our Danish friends, Karin and her mom, Myrna, and Mandi all came out to see the progress. We try to remember to take pictures of all our visitors. Thanks to all of you who have come out to see our home!

We have entered into the first week of June, and it is already hot. Memorial Day Weekend was not quite the celebration we had hoped for. The kids were sick, and feeling pretty poorly. Katie likes to use that word sometimes. We did however, get to spend Sunday afternoon visiting with Matthew's entire family which was fun. Little Jessie is now almost 5 months old. He's really active and aware of everything going on.

The girls are all feeling much better this week. This morning while I was ironing they ran circles around the table pretending they were going to visit someone. Then they painted some pictures. Then we took a nature walk outside to see a very wiggly caterpillar that had been hanging on their window. We all squealed every time he started flopping about on the ground. They asked if we could have a tea party after nap. I guess I had better getting busy preparing some tasty treats.

Last night we ate a wonderful supper at my parents house. They have lots of kittens, and Katie especially adores them. But, they don't treat her so well. Her eye was swollen pretty badly from holding the kitty and then rubbing her eyes. It's sad for her. She loves toting them around in her arms. I did the same thing when I was a little girl. Only I didn't have the allergy.

Josephine is mobile. She is pulling up, crawling, sitting up, has two teeth, eating people food and getting into things. She may get impatient when her sisters mess with her, but she is a smiley girl and very lovable too.

Also this morning Isabel and Evelyn played outside for the longest time cooking with dirt and grass. They have so much fun playing quietly together. Katie enjoys those little moments when she has me all to herself.
